Here's a quick description of my problem, due to my CPU and RAM :
Sometime, my computer just black out when it is working hard, situations (2):
1. I was playing BF5 on ultra settings with DXR ultra (for maybe 1h30?) then both of my monitor stopped working, while my computer was still "on"
2. This is how I knew it was my CPU: During the recent event, I decided to participate on FAH (Folding@Home) and the same issue that happened on Battlefield 5 when my CPU had a work unit.
Additionnal info about #2:
-I tried to overclock my ram (is actually 2666MHz to 2888MHz) and CPU (3.7 to 4) and the crash was more frequent. But, when it happened on BFV and today, my settings were set back to normal, 2666 MHz and 3.7 GHz.

-When the screens black-out, everything else stops (keyboard lights off, mouse light off, electric sound when plugging / unplugging headphones)

Here are my components:
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x

GPU: RTX 2080Ti
Ram: I don't remember the brand, 32Gb @2666MHz
Motherboard : TUF x470 plus gaming (Which I saw that the max frequencies for the RAM was 3000, doesn't seems good for a Ryzen CPU)

Any idea of what I should do, or how to stop that abrupt stop? I kind of feel that I don't get the full potential of my computer due to the motherboard.

What power supply are you using? If the computer crashes more frequently when it is using more power, it sounds like it could be a faulty or underpowered psu.

I would suspect a build like that to suffer from VRM overheating, but this causes shutdowns and not lockups. Did you check the CPU and GPU temperatures?
