Cpu usage low with low fps

So doom eternal came out and my pc is definetly good enough to run it, but when i run performance metrics on the game my cpu is clearly bottlenecking my performance. The problem is that my cpu usage never goes above 50%. Is this an optimization problem or is there something i can do to force my cpu to be used properly.

The reccomended requirements for the game are an i7-6700k and a gtx 1060 so i shouldnt have any problems. Furthermore, when i lower my settings i barely get a framerate difference.

any help is greatly appreciated7879011D-CF32-4743-9FBB-914A2FCB9474.thumb.jpeg.5cb656d93f446598cb6fb9ff379d50ba.jpeg

Hi, I also just made a thread about this sort of problem.

I am having the same problem, but with a GTX 1060 and I see you have a 1070 in the picture even though you've mentioned a 1060 in the text.

I meant the recommended requirements whoops.

specs are i7-6700k, gtx 1070, 32gb ddr4 2133hz(i know its not the best) and msi b150m

by the way my cpu is watercooled so it cant be a heating issue

You'd think, but

A GTX 1060 can apparently pull off an average of 60 fps on 1080p max.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Oh my god. I disabled steam fps counter and my fps is butter smooth. This is insane.

Try disabling all your fps counters except the Doom ingame one.
