is it safe to charge my phone with my MacBook charger?

Ashleyyyy

so I recently got a MacBook Pro with type-c, and I therefore have a type-c charger for it.

can I safely use that charger with my phone and if possible my MDR-1000X M3 headphones?

I wouldnt play with the voltages. Some chargers output 5v some 20v.

Phone should be no problems (if it's a fairly modern one)
The phone has it's own Charge electronics, and just takes how much it can handle. it's NOT, that the Charger "pumps" the Phone. The Phone draws as much as it can.

On your Headphones: Depends, if they have a Charge electronic too.
Example: I have heared, the Nintendo Switch is a bit Picky, and some got damaged with Third Party Chargers, because they had too much Performance.

You may be right. I just did some searching and talked from a friend's experience. His iphone 7 battery got fried because he used his 65w charger.
