3DMark Stress test

Go to solution Solved by glenalz81,

Margin of error, don't worry :)

Alright so i've been doing some stress tests (mostly fire strike) and what i realised is that when the test is over and i look at the fps average, it starts off with 95.41 (random test of mine) and ends in 92.94 and it told me it passed with 97.3%.Right after i did this test with these results i did another one and the results we're 94.91 in the beginning and 92.89 in the end and it passed with 97.9%.Now this happens after every stress test.Always the beginning is different but the end stays the same or close to the same.Could this mean something? Why did the first one get lower percentage than the second one right after it?

Because i know the percentage it gives you at the end is based off how much the fps drops in average. If it drops 3% then it says it's gonna be under 97%.So could this mean something?

Sorry if it's a dumb question but i get really paranoid with my PC.And if it's really a question that you have no idea what im on about, and you think it's dumb af, just tell me

But let's say i do a fire strike stress test right? Sometimes im just playing games for like 2hrs and watching some vids and i just have an urge to run a stress test to see how it does you know? Everything goes good and it tells me it doesn't even pass. with like 96.7% right after it i run it again and it gives me 97.5% now which one do i trust you know? which one is telling the truth.

Like @glenalz81 said it’s a margin of error, could be your temps, boost clocks, could be a number of things, both of them are telling the truth, you have to consider all these factors,

But i just wanna ask one more question before im gone.

Could this mean i could have a problem on my hands with some of my hardware?

No, it’s such a small percentage. It’s probably that your temps were different or you had a difference in how high your cpu boosted.

if it were like 10% or more I would be a little suspicious, but that 1% difference isn’t much and seems very stable
