Lol not sure if it is turning on to update or something, but one of my computers does the same thing. If it's aliens or ghosts, then apparently they like AMD more than Intel, because my AMD system is the one that does it.

I never narrowed down if it was my power supply or motherboard that did this to my last system, but it was definitely one of the two

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

At least I'm not the only one. Was this a reoccurring issue or a one time thing for you.

Very frequent. The PC could not be slept or turned off without using the switch on the back of the PSU itself.

If I slept the PC, it would wake a couple seconds later. If I turned it off, same thing. If I turned the switch in the back off, it would still try to turn itself back on, but fail.

Does this happen every time you shut the system down or does it only happen every now and then?

Are you "Shutting Down" or are you putting the system to "Sleep"?
I've been woken a few times in the middle of the night when my system had been put to Sleep and then Windows thought that 3am would be a good time to turn my PC on and start an update.

It only happened this one time and the system was shut down completely through windows with the psu switch (obviously) still on.

For me it would happen every time I turned off the computer, so I replaced the power supply. With the new PSU the computer no longer turns on by itself every time, but it does still randomly decides to turn on every once in a while.

I've had this psu for almost a year now and its never turned itself on so it might have been a one time fluke.
