2080 non super vs 1070ti

xdeathshot20

So someone is selling a 2080 for $500.  my current pc specs are in the description below.  Do you think its worth a upgrade?  im running 2 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitors.  the specific card for sale is a evga varient, believe it to be a ftw3 ultra.  My next question would be that my card is currently water cooled, so would i just have a really overkill cpu cooling or acually get a block for the card.

Current Rig=  AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, Asus Crosshair Hero VIII, EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 ultra, 32gb Corsair Vengence Pro RGB 3000hz White, EVGA 750 P2 PSU, 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 500gb samsung 860 evo, 250GB Samsung 850 evo, 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, 2TB seagate firecuda sshd,  LianLi PC 011 Dynamic XL ROG edition, Corsair h150i elite capelix

How bad do you want raytracing?

From wiki the 1070ti has 2432:152:64:0 shaders:texture units:render units:raytracing units and the 2080 has 2944:184:46:368, plus the 2080's just newer.  The 2080's a definite step up, whether that much performance is worth the investment (with or without a waterblock) with the 3000's probably coming out this year is up to you.

Honestly I would just buy a brand new 2070 super for the same price. The performance is almost identical to a standard 2080.
