I usually try and get a 40% improvement. I guess i wait for next GPU's whenever they come out. Worried about prices tho, i only paid $385 for this card

depending on the model of 2070 super (i.e. EVGA, gigabyte, etc. etc.) the cards are running around the $500 mark. if you are going to be waiting on the 2090s and 3000s, then you should be prepared to spend $750-$1500 or more. at that price, it would no longer be worth it.

Ha! would never pay that much. A GPU the same price as a whole new PC is insane. So what would the top 3000 ( 3080  ? ) be?

several brands have ones that have 3 fans but most also cover most of the sides too not allowing airflow over the card. like gigabyte has three fans that alternate spin direction (outside 2 spin counterclockwise and the middle one spins clockwise) but it covers most of the fins for the cooler.

What do you think of the RTX 2070 SUPER XC HYBRID  ?

well that is a hard question to answer and almost impossible because that would fall under personal opinion. me personally, I don't like any water cooled systems as it has a tendency to leak if not done correctly or eventually which will cause a short or worse.

Its an AIO, have several for my CPU , never any problems. Ive had my H105 for 6 years now, works the same as when purchased it, but have a felling thats reaching end of life soon. Never had a GPU with an AIO, would really help all that much with OC'ing?

well it would for those that are into that sort of thing but otherwise most GPUs are way overpowered for the average gamer or someone who is going to use it for just watching videos on their computer. as for me I have a 200mm fan on the side panel that came with my case and right now I don't have it overclocked or anything. if I did then I wouldn't be able to hear anything without a $500 set of headphones.

Never had a problem with noticeable, have lower grade headphones Sennheiser PC350 SE. Also have Beyerdynamic DT 990 250OHm but having wiring issues. Miss them for my music. My GPU has gotten louder, had to adjust fan curves. Most of the parts im using came from my last rig. Being cheap is one of faults kinda. Using same 850 Pro as boot/Windows drive, and a poer supply from 2014. But noe tax returns and work bonus has arrived.

Things i also need:
Keyboard
Storage

neither are very cheap

How much is the improvemnet from a 1070 to a 2070 Super, worth or no?

You have gotten some really bad advice in this thread from people who say it's only a small upgrade. The RTX 2070 Super is 63.75% faster than the GTX 1070 at 1440p in techpowerup's testsuite. It would be a strong upgrade. Now whether it's worth it instead of waiting for Q42020 for possible Navi 2 or new Nvidia gpus is a whole other question, especially when 1070 is still a capable gaming card. But the 2070 Super is significantly more powerful than the 1070.

131/80 = 1.6375

EDIT: For whatever reason I can't get the image to show, so I'll just link their most recent benchmarks (from their 5600 XT review).

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/sapphire-radeon-rx-5600-xt-pulse/27.html

The 2070 Super is 131% performance at 1440p while the 1070 is 80% at 1440p in their testsuite of games.

if you want the features of the RTX (ray tracing etc and super fast DDR6 ram) then its worth upgrading as the price of 2080 / 2080 super and up are still high price range.

I am in similar position at looking to upgrade from a 1070ti to a 2070 Super, or i am also looking at used 1080ti on ebay, however you can never seem to win, i like the 11GB ram of the 1080ti and it has good performance, but no ray tracing (for Tomb raider etc) and it has DDR5 ram.  so its difficult to know if i save up more and get a new 2070 Super, i know that i can't afford the next gen cards so leaves me with the option to save up and get the 2070S or an older used 1080ti.

for yourself as you have a 1070 (non ti) then i would say yes its worth upgrading to a new 2070 Super RTX.
