Hi there :D

A friend of mine thought about upgrading from his laptop to a desktop pc. We were producing music with Ableton Live when we ran into some issues with the sound due to the low-end specs of the laptop. Overall, it's not a great experience doing anything else then ms office or web-browsing. So let me go trough the recommended checklist for new threads here:

1. Budget & Location
Around 500€
2. Aim

In the beginnig an unproblematic use of Ableton would be nice. Also, he likes playing some not really demanding games such as SW:ToR, WoW and Leage of Legends. I have an old GTX5something with gddr3 memory, which might do the job, although i think, some internal graphics nowadays might be better. So i guess with that budget, it might be smart to buy a graphics card later, if really needed. (maybe have to be planned when choosing a PSU?)
3. Monitors & 4. Peripherals

Monitor is needed, but nothing high-end. I guess we'll find something in the local stores or online for a good price, so nothing u guys have to worry about ^^ same with keyboard.
5. Why the upgrade?
As mentioned, Ableton doesn't do well on his Laptop (Lenove Ideapad Flex 15 i think), let alone gaming. I lent my laptop to him, so we can play some SW:ToR together, but as soon as Uni starts again, I'll need it back.

6. Other information

Aesthetics can be neglected, no RGB or fancy case needed xD My friend's not a huge fan of online shopping (althoung i'm sure i can convince him, if the parts are not available localy). I'm not a great pc builder, but i'm sure, we can put it together, once we have the parts.

Much thanks in advance and if there are any questions, let me know :D

- 6 cores, 12 threads CPU

- 256 ssd is enough as system drive, you can store all your samples / files in the 2tb hdd.

- No gpu, as you have it already, you don't need high end gpu for ableton.

- Monitor is 24inch 16:10, more pixel real estate

Thanks for the help :D unfortunately i just remembred that i gave my old gpu to my brother, who still uses it. now i'm thinking about choosing the ryzen 5 2400g with just the internal graphics (for now, maybe upgrade later on). Can it handle WoW/SW:ToR? even lowest settings are ok i guess ^^'
