Using SSD as Cache for RAID 0 config.

I've looked all over but cant seem to figure out how to do this (Without the Fuze update within the coming months) but I heard Linus talking about it in on of his new videos.

 

Anyone know how to use an SSD for Caching.

Why would you bother? SSDs are cheap enough to use as main drives, and their performance far exceeds spinners, no matter what config you put them in

What environment are you looking to do this in? Nas? Server? Desktop? Something else?

I'd probably do it with DrivePool - set up the RAID/stripe in Windows (Disk Management or Storage Spaces) then add it to the pool, use the SSD Optimizer balancer, done deal. Although that's probably overkill for what you're doing. You could set up something similar with PrimoCache or even Storage Spaces using PowerShell. FuzeDrive/StoreMI isn't really what you want for caching, it is for tiering.
