RAM : Option to upgrade to G.skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) 3600 C18D for extra $10, is it worth the upgrade from 3200 C16D

I'd go for the CL16 kit and you can likely OC it to near 3600MHz anyways.

CPU : 3600x upgrade for $30. Only difference I could find was the base and boost clock along with high power consumption (same thread and core count). Any specific CPU load which can benefit from this upgrade ?

Better off with the lower TDP 3600 in my opinion, runs cooler so you can use the stock cooler. I would adjust the Precision Boost Overdrive settings (PBO) in Ryzen Master and you will get the same performance you would out of a 3600x.

You live in a hot country, look at cases with good front panel airflow, they will cost a bit more but are likely worth it in the long run.

Hi Guys, looking for some suggestions with my first PC build. Open to suggestion to improve  performance or future proofing the build.

Budget & Location  : Less than $1000 USD, location India

Aim : Low level gaming (Fifa and Counter strike among others) and light video editing for personal use. Mainly working with Virtualized environment so heavy CPU load

Monitors : Samsung U28E590D 28-Inch 4k UHD LED-Lit Monitor

RAM : Option to upgrade to G.skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) 3600 C18D for extra $10, is it worth the upgrade from 3200 C16D ?

Planning to scale to 32GB later (4x8GB)

CPU : 3600x upgrade for $30. Only difference I could find was the base and boost clock along with high power consumption (same thread and core count). Any specific CPU load which can benefit from this upgrade ?

Case : Not hard set on any single model, looking for a clean and elegant look. Recommendations appreciated

Cooling : Not really planning for Overclocking at the moment, would I need any additional cooling for the CPU/GPU other than the stock cooling ?

Total cost of the build is close to $930 USD (Mainly due to Overpriced items in India)

nope

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I personally would dump the 2tb harddrive and get a 1tb SSD. Though, if you need thebulk storage, go for what you have now.

Don't really need the bulk storage, with storage I always think the more the better :)
Will lookup some 1TB SSD as well, thanks for the help

I like the look of COOLER MASTER MB511 case, will check availability of this case near me.

GALAX GeForce GTX 1660 6GB is almost the same cost with the vendor as the Radeon RX 590 8GB
Will it have any significant improvement in terms of performance ? The benchmarks to both the card are very close

go with the 590, the 1660 is only about 3% faster when overclocked but costs a little more

It's a newer generation, consumes much less power and is about 5% faster. Up to you.
