Green lines in gta v???

Hi,

The last 2 months i have green lines/borders in gta.

It's only in gta i know so far and it is like the first 15-60 minutes i play.

After that it won't come back, until i restart up gta or my pc again than it's back.

Does anybody now what the problem is?

Thx

Low key, looks kinda cool. Verify integrity of game files, as well as try downclocking your GPUS memory a bit, and see if it goes away. Also try DDU’ing your drivers

Reinstall drivers and make sure thermals are fine. Try lowering GPU clocks by about 150MHz and the core clock by 100MHz to see if that affects anything. If reducing clocks helps, the GPU is on its way out

I don't have anything like this and I'm using Proton-5.1-GE-2. The fact that it goes away after the GPU heats up does make it sound like hardware.

OS: LFS, Arch, Gentoo | CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700X | Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F | RAM: 16GB HyperX @ 3600MHz (OC)

GPU: XFX Thicc III Ultra RX 5700 XT | Case: Fractal Meshify C | Storage: 250GB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe, 500GB SATA SSD, 2TB HDD, 1TB HDD

Average temps in gta are +/- 50 degrees celcius for gpu and cpu aswel.

That sounds fairly cool, so it shouldn't be a heat issue that caused it. Hopefully reinstalling the GPU drivers will resolve it, though you should probably do what many people recommend and use DDU to uninstall the drivers in safe mode before reinstalling them.

I tried older version of drivers but it became worse.

I couldn't even go higher whit the resolution of 1024x900 or something.

My screen was black at the left side and everything was zoomed in.

After that i installed the latest driver again and after a couple times shutting down my pc my resolution was back(1650X1050).

But i will try DDU tommorow.

I am also going to download gta again.

Thx for the help

I will let you know tommorow.

Yeah reinstalling GTA won't do any harm either, it will just help narrow it down if the issue persists. I did have an issue on AMD cards while using reflection MSAA in GTA, so I had to turn it off. It only broke shiny objects like chrome cars etc. though.

I used DDU and reinstalled drivers.

For now the green lines are gone.

Thx for the tips?

But I think it will get back...

So I think I want to upgrade my gpu.

I now have a:

i7-870

gtx 760

1tb hdd 5400

250gb ssd

Corsair 550W brons

16 gb ddr3

I want a Asus Rog Strix rx 570 8gb oc edition.

Do you think this is a good option? And how much more performance in games will I get?

And can I play newer games whit this setup?

You have very old cpu, so upgradin your gpu will not help much at all, consider bying something like ryzen 5 1600AF and rx 570 8gb then
