normal upload speed and slow download

So I tried my internet speed and the upload speed is perfect (50MBs),but my download is 30MBs.This happens only when I'm connecting wirelessly. My wired connection has no problem at all (90MBs Download and 50MBs Upload) I'm using  TL-WR740ND.

I'd look at replacing that router with something current, as it doesn't even have 5GHz according to the specification sheet.

As above, single band N devices are at the bottom of the bin for performance.  N150 is super low end and anything that's 2.4 GHz only (ISM band) is subject to a lot of interference from both the narrow band, and the sharing of those frequencies with other non-wifi devices.

 

Something AC/AX router wise and a NIC upgrade onto the same standard in tandem should help quite a bit.

I'd Recommend a different Router, this is old and slow.

 

A Friend recently bought a TP Link Archer C7 which is wireless Wireless AC1750, a massive increase over what u have and it cost him retail from local PC World store £64.99.

 

I have to say i'm massively impressed by what he got for the price and id recommend it for u.

 

I Forgot to add he gets the full 213mb down and 20mbup from his broadband supplier.
