Attached is an image of the error. It's not a proper screenshot, but I could not use my PC when this error was there.

Specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte B360M-D3H

CPU: Intel i5-8400

RAM: 1x 8gb ADATA Premium DDR4 2400mhz

All stock coolers

Thermaltake Versa n25 case

GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 1050ti OC

I've had this kind of error before, but it was always a game crash and everything else was fine. It was usually a "the graphic driver had stopped working and has now recovered" notification.
As soon as I got this error persistently in a few games, I ran DDU in safe mode and updated to latest drivers. Error was not solved.

I was running 431.60 drivers when the error occurred.

I updated to 442.50 with a clean install.

Once error persisted i ran DDU on safe mode again and updated to the drivers I installed when I first got this PC, 398.36. Error persisted.

I under clocked the GPU to -50MHz, game freezes instead of hard crash.

I did the TdrLevel = 0 fix in reg edit, got BSODs.

So far, every thread only ever has a 'it fixed itself' solution.

Games that ran fine: Dishonored 2, Dota 2 (ran it before error occurred, haven checked again because its online), Watch Dogs 2, DOOM.
Problematic games: FIFA 17. The Outer Worlds, Ghost Recon Wildlands.

I have overclocked the GPU, but always do it manually before certain games, and haven been doing it for a while. Clocks weren't unstable, and I had been using the same overclock profile for nearly 6 months since I reinstalled MSI afterburner.

Full error in case image doesnt work:

DirectX function "device-> CreateTexture2D( &texDesc,

desc.subResourceCount != 0 ? reinterpret_cast <const

D3D11_SUBRESOURCE_DATA*>(desc,subResourceData) : 0,

&texture-> m_texture2d)" failed with

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been

physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for

the video card has occured. ")

GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti",

Driver: 44.250

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET: The GPU will not respond to

more commands, most likely because some other application

submitted invalid commands.

This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try

installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a

supported graphics card with at least 1024MB.

I have also done a thorough cleaning of the entire system (dust and all), and reseated the RAM in a different slot.

I can keep the PC on for hours on end, watch films, browse. But running games is impossible. At times, dont even get past the main menu.

Dishonored 2 was relatively stable, played for 10-20 minutes. Closed the application myself.

Any help is appreciated.

I understand that. I have heard of these issues and with my friend being in the USAF working with computers, he told me never buy anything AMD and these issues prove it. I have been looking at the rtx 2070 supers myself.

I can definitely say that my HDMI is plugged in to the GPU. I tried it plugging into the CPU once because I had another issue, but with display was completely fked, so Ill know even if I do it accidently.

yeah, I have an EVGA supernova 1000W G+ PSU. I usually buy over powered because then I don't have to reupgrade for years one end.

When I bought these components, I knew enough about which GPU to get as a budget one, but knew next to nothing on desktop pc components, even though I know now that 650 watt is within new gpu upgrade territory.

and most are buy you also have to consider the CPU, fans, Hard drive/SSDs and a few other things that all suck on the power limit of the PSU. if you are going to get rid of that GPU for something else make sure your PSU can handle it physically. most GPUs now have 2 connections points on them so they require 2 PCIe power cables to them most being either 1 6+2 and 1 8 pin connectors or 2 8 pin connectors.

Yeah, but everything I bought it really power efficient, even the GPU takes about 95 watts i think, and it has a 6pin connector. I already took it to the shop and consulted the guy that got all this stuff, and he knows the shittinest of the PSU AND that its the best they got. However, he also said that PSU problems will not occur like this. Basically, not the PSU at fault here, even though I fully intend to get a better one down the line.

yes and no. it would depend on the exact code that you got. as for knowing what to do, no I don't because I am a noob when it comes to building a computer even with mine being built just over a year ago except my GPU which is a AMD radeon HD 6700 series that I kept from the prebuilt computer I replaced because I didn't have the money for a new GPU and it still worked.

spam? no scrapple is better.

try reading, I know its hard for you but it helps you learn. the link I gave and this person BOTH had 1050ti GPUs which are having issues with them not reading the monitor correctly and saying that the card has been removed from the PCIe slot.

and I am giving my life experience which is something most people who are actually helpful do so someone else doesn't make the same mistake as them.

To be fair, the error is common but my games are crashing, not 'reading the monitor correctly'.

are you sure your GPU is secured correctly? I ask because I have seen a few videos were the person says to make sure you do as the weight and vibration of the card can cause it to rip the PCIe from the motherboard.

When i cleaned the pc yesterday, I removed and reseated the GPU and ram, as I have to remove the GPU to remove the ram.
I checked the 6pin power connected was attached multiple times too
