Pc going to disk checking and taking long time to boot

So this problem on my pc started a few weeks ago and has been a bit of a nuisance

 

So anyways, my pc takes a really long time to boot ( around 5 or so minutes ) and automatically goes to disk checking every time. However, I can skip disk checking, and no adverse effects happen, I have also let disk checking take place and nothing really changes.

 

I suspect that it has to do with this old HDD installed in my pc, which is the one that is being checked each time. However, when I go to remove this drive, my pc flat out refuses to go to windows at all, despite the fact that windows is installed on my SSD. This means that I'm stuck with waiting for my pc to take 5 minutes or so to boot, even with an SSD.

 

Anyways, if you could help, that would be helpful.

Check boot options, it must boot from that SSD. If the issue persists, you don't seem to any choice other than reinstall windows on the SSD.

Oof, I was afraid of that 
 

Yeah it's booting from SSD, I don't think the HDD in question is even in the boot order
