You're limiting yourself fairly hard there.

 

RX 580's are very cheap when used, and they perform very well.

That's not a very good decision, unless you have a compatibility issue I would fully recommend a used RX580, you get super reliable 60fps gaming (especially in 1080p) and 8GB VRAM which should be plenty for editing/ other graphics intensive work.

He was very clear about preferring Nvidia. Why the heck people don't understand it? Bang for the buck won't matter in a situation like this. Who knows, maybe he has a Gsync monitor, or his past experiences with AMD are so terrible that he want's to stay far away from them.

 

@Ron12777 As it shows in @boggy77 post, a GTX 1050 will get you there without a problem. A potato runs Overwatch.
