It's a standard RJ45-port, just a thin variant. Pull the lever down, plug your cable in.

It works like a human jaw.  As you insert the standard connector the bottom half opens like a person's mouth opens.  If you have further questions on how the mechanics work then pornhub can provide you video tutorials.

In order to make laptops even thinner the thickness of the standard RJ-45 port actually became a hindrance. In light of this manufacturers found a way to shrink it by making the port collapse when you don't need it and expand to full size when you do. Pull down the bottom tab it's a normal RJ-45 network port.

Another concern... those are sometimes a pain to remove the cable. I usually pinch the connector and then use my other hand to slightly pull the "jaw" down to remove the cable. 

 

Also be grateful. Manufactures are now removing them completely, and now charging extra to buy an adapter from USB-C/Thunderbolt to RJ45.
