i need help for my hard disk

hi guys im new here and I need help for my hard drive

so currently I have old computer

with:

amd athlon x2 240 (OC 3.24GHZ)

gt1030

8gb ram

and I want to upgrade to Intel i5-3570 but the problem is my hard drive I have tons of games and video project and I don't wanna o reinstall the whole OS and I'm using windows 7 and soon will upgrade to windows 10 what should I do should I install windows 10 as well for my CPU +mobo  I read other forum they had no problem is this true for windows 10 ?

First make a backup of that hdd, any upgrades can cause data loss, or the drive can just fail.

 

Id really try to get a ssd, the speed upgrade is huge, and windows 10 on a hdd is very slow.

Why are you "upgrading" to a 3570?

 

Yes you should reinstall. Windows does NOT handle driver cycling perfectly and can cause a ton of issues.

Back up the hard drive, or the important files and then use a windows boot device and install windows 10. Do you have an SSD?

my budget enough for 3570 OK its old but I can't stick with 240 no more

 

no I don't have any ssd and that's my only hard drive

Look into an Anthlon 200/300GE. MUCH better upragrade paths with those and a B450 board

You can get a 1600 AF, cheap b450 board and 8GB of ram for under that price.

tbh all of ur CPU suggestion are out of my budget for example 

50$ in Indonesia  its around 750k so I only have budget below 75$ ik I'm such poor guy but wut else can I do for it

OK so let's go back on topic soi have this called cloning I found software called aomei backup

eh its says it can backup/restore system image to new computer correct? should I use this method ?

In short, no. In long, noooooo. Do a fresh install, a clone is pointless as it also keeps the old booked registry files and useless drivers
