RAM Compatibility

How can i find out if particular RAM works with a particualr motherboard? 

 

I have an Asus X99-A/USB 3.1 Motherboard and i have Corsair  CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10 RAM. Will they work together?

In manufacturers compability list.  look up your mainboard on www.asus.com and check under support, you should find it.

DDR4 boards do not work with DDR3

Yeah had a look at that couldn't see the RAM.

It does not, there's no intercompatibility between DDR3 and DDR4, and the board only supports DDR4

then you're wrong, X99 never supported DDR3

so i have 2x 8gb DDR4 and have found  can  you add 4 more but 4gb DDR4?

Why 4 more 4GB? why don't you just get 2 8GB sticks instead. I think in my opinion it will be better because you can always just add more then in the future if you ever needed to.

Yeah before i spend money i am just going through spares.

Found  CMX8GE2666C16K8 SCN DDR4 but is not on the spec sheet
