bit defender uses almost half of my available memory

I use bitdefenders for all my PCs. For my media PC, the bitdefender uses more about 43% of my memory, sometimes over 50%. Does anyone know why this happens?

Sounds like you either need a reinstall of BitDefender or something else is wrong that's causing it to consume that much memory. It sits at about 500MB of memory used on all my computers.

16 is on the lighter side these days, but you'll be fine :)

maybe the OP will grace us with his RAM amount in the first post so we have an idea if Bitdefender is using 4GB or 32GB of RAM :P
