Hello, I have recently been wanting to build my own PC. It would be the first PC I've ever build, so I made a PCPartpicker list for it, and I'm just looking for some feedback on it. I don't need the best specs, just something that can run my games better than my gaming laptop. (?)

I'd get a 1tb SSD. 500 is full before you know it and you have to invest again or deal with seperate drives.

For example kingston a1000.

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/kingston-a1000-nvme-ssd,5631.html

I'd also consider an MB with wifi and bluetooth built in instead of seperate card. For example the Gigabyte Aorus B450 I Pro WiFi is the cheapest M-itx board. I'd consider M-itx, so at your next upgrade cycle you'd be able to move it to a smaller case to use it as a mediaplayer or pretty competent TV-gaming machine. In that "case" you will also benefit from built in wifi/BT as expension cards won't fit.

For example NODE 202 without GPU or NODE 304 if you want to fit a GPU as well.

Might seem like I'm thinking ahead too much, but I wish I had with my current components as I made the same mistake...

Hey there, here's a better build for your needs, slightly above yoru budget, if that's possible for you.

What monitor do you have btw (refresh rate and resolution)?

Ryzen 2nd gen cant match 3rd gen in games by a long shot, and 8 core 2700X dont beat 6 core 3600 in all core performance by that much either

Case with subpar airflow

Faster memory can be had for a little more

SSD offers bad value for money

SMR HDD like this will be slow even by HDD standards for writes mind you

underwhelming PSU

If you're waiting for Nviia 30 series GPUs

If you want the most frames today
