playing ark first time help

Ok so i have no clue how to play and no intention of finding out until i start playing lol,

 

me and 2 other friends just downloaded it for free weekend, i opened it, theres loads of server... which is best server? i never played server game before like rust or anything lol.

 

Also how do people work? i understand we have to join same server every time so basically if the server we want to join is ever full we cant play on our save?

 

and should i join a server with a lot of people or not many? will they try to kill you? etc.

I would just run your own game and play with your friend like that. But your friend would be limited to playing whenever you play

If you go this route, it depends on what you want to do. Different servers have different rules and settings.

I mean official servers.

you can join 'pve' servers - is pvp disabled in those?

Can you send your save to your friends as such in games like raft etc. ?

Yeah, PVE has PVP turned off.

I haven't had to send a save to someone, don't think there's ever a reason to really. I'm sure you can though.

im really confused here help me out:

so my friend said just make your own all the online ones are wrecked so im copying this:

but i cant make some stuff work like this it says do x8 but the thing makes me do at max 6. and i dont even know if thats x cuz it says percent.

Don't worry too much about it. This just changes the speed dinos will go from baby to big boy. 6x is fine. I think I usually played on 3 or something
