Hello,i am an electrical engineering student and i recently received a task to write seminar paper on topic difference between windows server and linux. Can anyone tell me more about this?

I appreciate any help.

You're going to have to get a lot more specific if you'd like to get some good answers. There are an incredible number of differences.

You should start your research on your own and look up some of the history of both OS's, and you'll be able to find plenty of sources that compare them.

After that, come back here with specific questions.

Especially since a lot of the differences depend on context (what are you using the server for?)

There is no “Linux Sever”. There is also not just one Linux, it’s way more complicated than that. Windows Server is a vastly different product that serves different use cases in many situations. There’s also macOS Server by the way.

really gotta do better on your phrasing and specify what kind of differences you’re really after.
