Look at the manual of for your motherboard for how to update bios (enter your mobo make and model into google). 

 

Normal steps are download BIOS to USB flash drive.

Restart PC with USB plugged in.

Boot into BIOS find the option for updating BIOS.

how do i update my bios on my older pc.

nevermind i can update it from dells website.

i updated the dell bios on my older pc and accidentally left the os set to win xp. (its on win 10) i had to update it to a older bios before updating to the latest bios and when i did i set the os to not applicable  because there was no win 10 option my pc seems to be fine when i set it to xp did i mess something up.
