I really like this build. I knew for sure that my GPU choice wasn't good enough for my pricepoint but had no idea what to do next. When I went about picking parts for I picked the Mobo first. Now that being said I have a question. I am totally fine with upgrading to a 570. However my concern is that the MOBO you picked doesn't support PCI Express 3.0 and the graphics card you suggested is a 3.0. Again maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. But will a 3.0 work in a 4.0 slot? I've looked into 4.0 graphics card and it is like only one exists and it is way not enough. Well not enough compared to the 2080 super that I've fallen in love with.

One main advantage of going with a X570 board is that it does support PCIe 4.0. Worry not though: PCIe is compatible - all PCIe 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0 cards will work with PCIe 4.0 (X570 boards) as well. PCIe 4.0 has double the bandwith, so the 3.0 card will use all it's bandwidth and whenever PCIe 4.0 become available and you want to upgrade you will be able to take full advantage of those cards as well with the X570 board - it has a better upgradability than the a B450 motherboard.

Thus far there are no PCIe 4.0 graphics cards available - that will most likely change with the next generation of graphics cards.

Okay so I'm planning a brand new build. And I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions.

(Motherboard)

MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon 149.99

(Memory)

Gskill Trident RGB 2x16 GB 3200 164.99

(Power supply)

EVGA SuperNova 80plus Gold 750watt 109.99

(Hardrives)

Intel 660p M.2 NVME 1tb 122.99

TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan 1Tb SSD 115.99

(GPU) MSI Geforce GTX 1060ti 6GB 315.91

(CPU) AMD Ryzen 7 2700x Gold Edition 287.98

(Case) DarkFlash Phantom Atx Midtower 127.99

I was thinking about dropping the SSD for now to afford a better GPU. But I don't know what to go up to after the 1660ti. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

This build is for gaming. Possibly some streaming in the future. But I mainly play Rainbow Six Siege

Save 60$ and get a 550w cx power supply, 2700x is overpriced and you should be looking at other cpus like the 3600 or 3700.

What currency is this in?

What's your location? If you are in the US and the prices are USD, then you can get way better performance for less than what you would be paying right now. This is an AMD build with a 2080 Super. You really don't need 32GB - even for streaming + gaming. You won't need 750 W - 550 is enough. I went with 650 just to have some headroom for the future.

Sorry forgot about that part. I live in the US. I would prefer to keep my case if at all possible. I know it's a little pricey but it's so pretty, and RGB is big thing I'm going for.

Sure you could keep the case, it fits in your budget. You can go for RGB ram if you want that as well. The base of your build was just all over the place imo. 3600 will definitely be better for gaming than the 2700X and the 1060Ti didn't make a lot of sense to go with the rest. You could up the CPU to a 3700X to be on the safer side in case you want to focus more on streaming, 2 extra cores will come in handy.

I'm not familiar with the case you listed, but from the looks of it the airflow is suboptimal at best. I'd suggest going with something that doesn't have a solid glass front and allows for more air to come in. (Corsair 275R Airflow, Fractal Design Meshify C etc.)

Edit: Here's a build with RGB, X570 chipset, 3700X and a nicer 2080 Super with 3 fans. This is what I would do with that budget. It might be overkill for your purposes - just a friendly reminder, that you don't have to blow out your entire budget if you don't need to. RB6:S will run on a 3600 and 2060 Super/2070 Super just fine - what resolution are you gaming at?

Might as well be honest. It has been quite some time since my last build. At least 10 years. I'm a little behind of the times. I was amazed that optical drives went extinct. I just recently started to get back into. I took my best shot at parts. But it would appear I missed the bar a little bit. Right now I'm gaming at 1080p. But I would like the ability to go up if at all possible.

Not a problem at all, that's what this forum and community is for. If you have any questions concerning the build above or unrelated questions, feel free to ask. If you respond to someone make sure you tag them in your post like this @Mr.Alebertt or quote their comment, so they are notified.
