Ethernet on WiFi Repeater

Imagine-Wagons
Go to solution Solved by Windows7ge,

If it uses the 5.0GHz band and if the signal strength is good your ping should be good. Overall bandwidth still won't be near that of a Ethernet cable but ping-wise you'll be pretty close.

So recently my mom bought a new appartement where i have to live but we weren't able to put any ethernet cables in my room because everything was renovated already and now my internet provider installed a wifi repeater in my room and i'm wondering if i would still be able to get good ping in games when i put the ethernet cable in my pc and in the repeater and if it would be able to still stream or would it be better if i just bought a wireless network card.

(Sorry if i put this topic in the wrong place)

Most likely, it won't be as good as coming straight from the router, but the only way to find out if it is good is to plug in an ethernet cord.

I build computers and networks. Fibre Optic is my only dream imaginable.

Studying for my CompTIA A+ and my CCNA, if you have any tips, let me know please!
