I recently installed a new gpu into my pc. I bought a GTX 1080 (Gigabyte G1 OC 8GB) and for some reason the performance doesn't seem very different from my old graphics card, a GTX 1050 Ti. I've installed new drivers directly off Nvidia's website and still no improvement (when changing cards, all I did was swap them out, install new drivers and install a new psu).

For example, on my GTX 1050 Ti, I used to get 60-70 fps on low settings in BFV, and now with the GTX 1080 I get 105-115 fps on low settings. I know this is an improvement, but surely it should be a lot more.

My PC specs are:

Ryzen 1600x

Captain deepcool 240ex

Asus x370 prime

16GB Corsair vengeance at 2666Mhz

GTX 1080 G1

600w gold psu

I don't really know what I can do, please help :)

Thank you

Your CPU is holding you back a little.  It's not carrying it's weight in BFV.

Tho you did see a 70% increase in FPS, which is a fairly significant number.  Get a faster CPU to pair with that GTX1080 tho.

...or maybe just some faster memory.  A bit of OC perhaps.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Try seeing what you get for framerate if you set it to high or ultra, I bet it wont go down too much. At low settings the weakest link is your CPU most likely, if you increase the GPU's load, you should see better results.
