So I built this pc back when the GPU mining was a thing and GPU prices were stupid high, there were a few mistakes I know, I recently upgrade the mobo from the gigabyte a350 to the rog one in the list so that doesnt need anything done (mobo died) just wanting to know what upgrades you think i should get

edit: for gaming and £400 is what im thinking of putting for upgrades, ideally less due to how my money comes in

Hello,

It depends what you want to do and how much you can spend but a 3600+5600XT is a good start.

Here you go :

PCPartPicker Part List
Type Item Price
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor £145.98 @ Aria PC
Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB OC Video Card £204.99 @ Amazon UK
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total £350.97
  Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-02-24 11:28 GMT+0000

Just do a bios update so the CPU works with the mobo and you're all set.

Are you gaming on 1080p?

If you would go the 1440p route, you could go with a GPU and a monitor, the CPU would still be able to feed it.

That's just an alternative to what the coleagues said. I agre with them, you can go the Ryzen 5 6-core route (doesn't need to necesairily be a 3600) and a GPU.

Maybe a Ryzen 5 2600 paired with an RX 5600XT or even a 5700. Maybe a GTX 1660 Super or a 2060 Super.

Also, the Ryzen 5 1600 AF might be extremely cheap in your region, and that's a Ryzen 5 2600 with a tiny bit lower clocks. Probably the cheapest great upgrade to make.
