Need Help on Dell R710 GPU

Hey guys I'm planning a server for greater plex/converting work. Inthought over buying a dell r710 with 48gb ram and two x5560 cpus.

Is it possible too put a tesla m2090 gpu into a dell server just like this or do I need some external adapter stuff to get the power to the card. I have read that the cards needs around 200w but the x16 slot in the server can't deliver this much power.

Thx for some advice

You're going to need what looks to be a PCI_e 8-pin for each card but I don't know if the server will have those connected to the PSU. Usually you have to use adapter cables that plug into the motherboard. Don't know if the server will come with them.

Buy instead the PowerEdge R720 and then its officially supported... if you put it on a R710 you are going to for sure run into issues as well as a shortened lifespan.
