Upgrading from pre build question

I have a pre built PC it is an hp envy phoenix 810-209 I am wondering if anyone could lead me in a good direction for a better system? What will work well with what kind of thing. how to navigate building something. What to watch out for. I have upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 970 4GB.

Are you looking to upgrade components in your system? or are you looking to build a completely new system?

If looking for upgrade, buy RTX 2060 super or RX 5700XT, will feel flying ,other you dont need or GTX 1660 super if want go cheaper but I advise RTX 2060 super because is much more powerful and future proof, your system still capable 12GB ram is enough for gaming 1080p, games use most 12 GB at 1080p and those who use 12 are few titles like demanding EA games if your system is this https://support.hp.com/nz-en/document/c04337646

Look to Youtube, me or the rest of the LTT community for help, but generally, ryzen 3600+ rx 5700 (flash the bios), or a 2060S, and some nice RAM, ect ect. Give me a budget and preferences and I can build you a pcpartpicker and give you youtube vids with benchmarks for a build with nearly all the same componets.

Is doubling up on graphics card on the same mother board any use?  I would like to reuse the GTX 970 somewhere. And the I would also like to reuse the hard drive and SSD

Uh okay. You really do need some work. you can't really use two different gpus, and it depends what i7, because there are different generations with different sockets (different mobo's required) for every different type, ect. ect. The ram, being quite frank is probably $h!t. I can do a build for you if you want... I'll just do around a 1400 (USD) build for you, if you want to dm on discord I'm ASomewhatBrokenBeast#4224
