Wireless Mic for Gaming in the Livingroom

I just finished building a Steam Machine,  Now I am looking for a good solution for Voice Chat while gaming.  Currently the mic out on my Xbox Controller is not supported in SteamOS, so I am looking for a good solution to get a Mic to my couch (and or a mic that can hear me from the Entertainment center.  Any suggestions?

 

Right now, I would like to continue to use my Receiver for surround sound, so I am trying to stay away from headsets for game audio.  I was looking at maybe a conference room mic, but I am guessing that will pick up too much of the sound from my stereo.  I don't need studio quality and USB or 3.5mm connectivity would be ideal.

 

Any thoughts?

Any mic is gonna pick up a stereo system more than you.
