Hello,

My company is (finally) looking to upgrade our control engineer workstations. I've been looking for laptops to replace our old ones and I settled on the Dell Vostro 16. Unfortunately, Dell stopped selling that model a few months ago. My current search has been difficult as many laptop sellers will have every feature but then only have 512 GB or smaller storage... in 2024.. ridiculous!

I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions.

Use case:

 - PLC programming and HMI design

 - Light cad electrical work

 - Running virtual machines

The requirements needed are the following:

 - RJ45 port (our current laptops don't have these and I'm tired of using a dongle on the field)

 - 15.6" - 17" (we like the screens BIG)

 - USB-C with PD and DP (would be nice to finally use a dock and clean up the cable clutter at the office)

 - HDMI port

 - 1 TB of storage minimum (anything less is ridiculous)

 - 16 GB ram (do I have to explain this one?)

 - numeric keypad (also backlit would be nice)

 - $1200 max (this is what has been making the search so difficult)

 - 16:10 ratio would be preferred but isn't necessary (again BIG SCREEN BABY!)

 - Processor Intel I7 13th gen equivalent or better. (We are currently on 10th gen i7's and those quad cores are struggling!)

Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks!
