Posted February 14, 2014 You see what I mean about not knowing crap about computers? I don't even know what OC means.. OC means overclock. (Basically increasing the speed and performance of a processor) If you wanted something that will perform around the same and run cooler and MUCH quieter than the visiontek card, you could go with a Nvidia GTX 780. They're cheaper than 290Xs too
Posted February 14, 2014 If you're open to suggestions other than these 2, I'd go for a Windforce card from Gigabyte or the Sapphire Toxic cards. If not then the Asus one definately it is a very good card no matter what though Gaming Rig "Project Primitus" - AMD FX-8320 CPU, Asus M5A97 R2.0 Mobo, G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB RAM @1866 MHz, WD Caviar Blue 1TB, Gigabyte Geforce GTX 760 GPU, Fractal Design Define R4 Window, Corsair CX600 PSU Pics and my reviews for the build here - http://pcpartpicker.com/b/LvN Peripherals - Corsair Vengeance K70 MX Red, Logitech G402,Kingston HyperX Cloud, 21" TV, Steelseries QcK Heavy Mousepad, Macbook Pro 2012 13"
 I'd personally get an Nvidia card untill the price for Radeon's decrease. You will probably be fine with one at 1080p. Obviously 2 will give better mining performance, but it's up to you for mining. If you plan on gaming at above 1080p, you might want to get two. If not, you can always add another later on when you're not getting enough performance.
