We could use more input on what your criteria are for a laptop.  What do you intend to use it for?  What's your budget?  Do you mainly value performance, battery life, portability or something else?

 

I'd call that a mid-tier gaming laptop.  The specs are solid, but it'd mainly make sense if you wanted something that could play most recent games reasonably well and didn't mind fairly short battery life or the huge size.  I wouldn't get the GS75 if I needed something that could keep going through a long day of classes or business meetings, or if I wanted something I could easily carry around town.

Well I'm always at a desk with power, I want something that can play games reasonably well when I travel and the price seems reasonable.
