recommend me a case :)

So im in the market for a new case , i live in the UK and my budgets is ~£100 , i was thinking about the Corsair Air 540, or fractal design R4 ,i just cant decide

The Define R4 is the most recommended case on the forums so you can't go wrong with it

Let me add h440 on the list so it makes it  harder to decide

 

corsair air is loud and for cooling, where r4 is more for silence

 

also r4 is cheaper

then some times the r4 my be getting a bit tight what about the h440? looks allot like it and can fit a 120 rad

As long as you stick to slim 240 AIOs you can easily pick the Define R4. For full custom water cooling, the R4 is an option, but not the best.

if you have a larger budget grab a 900D and never look back . bought my self last week and it's where I'm puting my rendering rig in. although I wanted to put my gaming rig there for fun but it looked silly *intel i3 3220 with a gigabyte h77n-wifi mini-itx*

I like the Corsair 600T, its quite expensive and to be fair quite dated now, but its still an outstanding case, easy to build in and has well rounded features, just make sure you buy an adapter for the USB3 as the plug in the case goes in a rear I/O slot.

I like the aesthetics of the Air 540. If you want silence, get the R4. But over all of those, I say H440. It is the best mixture of both.

Plan out how much space you need (read: actually use) in a case then look at the options and decide which one you like best.

 

Sounds like an R4 is too roomy for you, which means it is heavier and bigger than it needs to be.

 

But people on these forums like impractical builds.

Arc Midi R2 for the airflow considering you're going to sli.

I'm going to throw in a word for the R4 as well.

I was wailing back and forward between the 540 and R4 my self.

And i ended up getting the R4.

 

Im running it with a i7 4770k Oc to 4Ghz cooled by a H100i and Dual 780ti's gigabyte Ghz edition in SLI.

 

i have it filled with be quiet fans and my max CPU temps are around 65C during stress test

And my GPU's run at around 75C in Haven bench mark and around 83C in 3D marks extreme bench test.

 

The case is insane value for money good airflow its quiet roomy and the case is built like a tank.
