Best 23-24'' Ips Monitor

timarp000

I want to upgrade to 23 or preferably 24'' monitor. I want it to be IPS aswell. What choices to i have? I want something thin. It shouldnt be thicker than and inch. I would also like a bezel-less design if available.

Budget is under $250.

Asus Pro art are the best in my opinion with its game mode and other modes you can change. http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=69432

You wont regret buying it cause didnt ever

Its pretty thick :(

Also it has a 6ms response time :( too slow for gaming. I had a 6ms screen and i could see motion blur and ghosting while gaming. I dont want to go above 5ms

I didnt notice any motion blur and feel no input lag. The bezel is really think. Are you gunna use this for eyefinity or Nvidia Surround?

The thickness is fairly thin. It's about 1.2cm common for high end consumer grade IPS panels.

If you want, they are monitor with 1inch+ thich borders :)

If you want an alternative, you have the Dell U2312

http://accessories.dell.com/sna/products/Monitors/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&cs=cadhs1&sku=320-2807&baynote_bnrank=1&baynote_irrank=0&~ck=baynoteSearch

It uses LG IPS panel.

It shares are about same features, and image output is about the same. Build quality is the same.

But the ASUS one has picture-in-picture, and HDMI in addition, and well a bit cheaper.

I did an internship at Barco, a company that makes enterprise grade screens for medical application and others.

Those displays looked like no other and yea they were quite thick... because they needed to be for all the beefy electronics in them.

So I'm pretty sure if you would buy an ultra thin monitor for the same price, it wouldn't look as good.

PS: they also sell a 4kish monitor for like 7 years... It does cost more then 10 grand though ;p

Well EIZO had a 4K monitor for a while, it's 38 grand. Its a true 8-bit panel, and has 68 billion color Look Up Table.

Of course these are for air traffic control, and in the medical field.

The lack of reviews makes it hard to suggest anything.

But specs wise the Asus MX239 is better

I'm super biased towards thin bezel monitors as bezels irk me to no end, so I'd have to go with the MX series too, probably the MX239 as I love their look in eyefinity/surround.

I see dead people
