CPU it doesnt matter both are way fast enough...most VR games aren't CPU intensive and you'll run out of GPU in no time flat so get the cheaper option when it comes to CPU and get the best graphics card you can afford.

The current gen i5s are really bad purchases at the moment, so my pick would definitely be Ryzen 3000 (a 3600 will be more than enough for VR).

I have a Ryzen 3700X for my build, but like others have said, VR is more reliant on GPU than CPU.
