Are both M.2 slots the same speed?

Car712

Hey, ive been trying to figure this out for a little while, I recently switched the motherboard in my PC to an ASRock X570 Steel Legend, there is 2 M.2 slots on it, and I (obviously) would rather use the one below the GPU, rather than the one directly behind it, however I am wondering if both slots are the same speed?

The motherboard slot using chipset lanes has higher latency because it has PCIe lanes not directly connected to the CPU, so in that regard, the CPU connected slot is a touch faster (though it may make little difference depending on the application)

Whichever the manual says is the CPU slot is the best option overall, usually that's the top one since it's closest.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
