R9 290 desktop core clock fluctuating

Hi guys, I just got my R9 290 and a G10. Temps and in game performance is stellar but this kinda worries me.

The core clock on the desktop is fluctuating from 310-320 very rapidly. Is this normal?

all your temps are in acceptable ranges (VRM 2 looks a little high for a card that is not under load) so I'm not too worried my fluctuates a little under no load but less frequently and by a larger amount (from 300 to 400 about 1/4 as often for little spikes)

(if your VRMS are hitting over 75C while gaming i would cut the oc down a bit untill you can throw a heat spreader on them)

also game performance picture link is dead.

thanks for the reassurance. my vrms hit a max load of 86c. being an r9 290, i'm sure this is acceptable as i was hitting 90+ on stock

pic works fine for me though

What fan speed & clock speeds where you using on stock?  I've been running my fan upto 75-80% with a core tempeture target of 80C and my VRMs wont go over 71C

I'm only making a big deal about this because some of the crypto miners early on with 290 cards had their vrms let go at temps of 75-80 for extended times on their VRM's

Edit: Picture link works through my home pc must be my work network blocking the host.

It's normal, the R9 290/290X have their core clock change every second i think, just the driver doing it's thing, mine does the same so no worries

my fan speed is 0 because i'm using a corsair h110 and an nzxt g10. i might look into getting some heatsinks for the vrms to keep things extra cool

thanks for the help :))

My Haven is not crashing that's odd. Also the fog bug is on EA's end says the game devs but with everything they are fixing I worry about how long it will take them to fix it.
