Hi folks,

Looking to purchase a Joystick. I enjoy Flight Sims, but I actually want to use it for games like World of Tanks/Warships, shooters, etc. as well. I just find them generally easier to use when trying to track targets smoothly.

What I am looking for is something heavy, or that can be bolted directly to the desk. I'd also like it to have a medium-heavy resistance. Had a Logitech X52 H.O.T.A.S. ages ago, and I found it was too lightly sprung. Speaking of which, I don't necessarily want a dedicated throttle control stick (though I wont rule it out if the best joystick comes with one). The more sensitive to input, the better.

Thanks for your time. I look forward to seeing your suggestions.

Matt

TM T16000M $85 Cad

CH Fightertick $150 Cad

TM Warthog  $330 CAD

Virpil/VKB/Other high end stick and base $650+ Cad

If you want a comparable quality throttle add another 70-100% of the cost.

If you want comparable quality rudder pedals add another 70-100% of the cost.

The TM Warthog is just something special.

Pretty heavy and does not move around at all but you can also screw them down if you want to make more of a permanent game space.

But you will need to buy separate Rudder pedals but when you are spending that kind of money people tend to get a bit specific on the type of pedals they want anyway.

TM Warthog is a nice hotas setup for sure. The deltasim electronics slew stick upgrade is highly recommended for the throttle over the little mouse nub it comes with.

Bonus with the Warthog is you can upgrade the base to a virpil one later on and keep using the warthog grip which is very ergonomic.

MFG Crosswind pedals are a nice set to pair with a warthog or better stick/hotas setup.

While not cheap by any means, that are less expensive than similar quality offerings from TM, Virpil, etc...
