ecc ram

Hello! I've been trying to boot my pc with ECC ram and it seems to work if paired with normal ram. The thing is that the bios wont read them, but in programs like CPUZ they are visible. 
My mb is an Asus Sabertooth x79 paired with an Intel i7 3930k. 
Can I run them or it's just a dead end? From what I've searched through the internet, I've seen people that got them working but without the ecc function and people that couldnt get them to work at all.

ECC RAM will use work with almost any board without the ECC function itself. What memory do you already have married to the board?

The ecc memorys are samsung's 8gb modules and the non ecc ones are a mix of corsairs with kingston.
I still dont get how the cpuz can read them and the bios dont.

ECC memory should run no problem in non ECC mode, but are they registered?

No, taskmgr doesnt seem to read them, since it says that it has 6/8 slots used (2 of them are filled w ecc memory). 
@Jurrunio yes, they are registered and i do have the security ID on them.

the i7s don't support registered. only unbuffred dims will work, and they won't work in ecc mode.

The issue is that they are registered. The additional pins are needed to properly use them and your board lacks them.
