Does CPU Integrated Graphics + MB On-board Graphics = More Powerful Graphics?

Sorry, I'm a bit of a computer noob but I have decided to build a custom pc. Anyway, my Intel build version has the i5 4670k CPU which has integrated graphics with an Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard which has on-board graphics. The budget of my build is £1500 (I have to buy the monitor and all the peripherals in case you were wondering why I hadn't chosen a more powerful CPU) but I can't be bothered to wait to save up all that money and buy everything at the end. I was wondering if the integrated graphics of the CPU will combine with the on-board graphics of the motherboard to make a more powerful graphical experience before I order a discrete graphics card (a Sapphire R9 280X Toxic).

No, the cpu has a graphics chip but the mobo does not. IT only has the one gpu. Get a discrete or check intel 4600 benchmarks and see if that is enough.

The motherboard has no "integrated graphics" the CPU you put in the board will which in the case of the 4670K is the HD 4600.

A processor and Motherboard RAM work together. They are one thing where as the graphics processor and graphics card ram (vram) is another thing. A graphics card is pretty much another separate motherboard with a processor and ram specifically used for display and rendering graphics. They are 2 seperate components, the motherboard makes them communicate together but they do not merge together. A graphics card is essentially a separate computer

IMO you are spending too much on the motherboard, why don't you go with something cheaper, like a G1.SNIPER Z5S, that motherboard is $50 less than the Maximus, and feature wise, I don't see much of a difference.

The motherboard itself has no processing power of any sorts.

Unless you have an older board like mine, chances are only the CPU has a graphics chip.

This is going to sound stupid but I'm really OCD about the colour scheme of the build. I chose the Asus Maximus VI Hero because it fits with the red and black colour scheme I want.
