So I plan to be upgrading to the new HTC M8 when it is released, I want to know from any owner or anyone who had knowledge in this area, is there anything important to know about the HTC one? is it good? How is the screen/resolution? Good speakers? Should i stick with the default OS? What are the problems with it? I plan to watch 1080p video and take high quality photos. How is the camera? Any replies would be fantastic! Thanks!

I'm interested as well. I'm getting the HTC One (not the M8) either this week or next.

I've heard the speakers on the One are amazing (for a phone). And that the camera is pretty good (again, for a phone).

The screen is 1080p. Even though you don't need that on a phone, it's pretty fricking awesome.

For my pertinent links to guides, reviews, and anything similar, go here, and look under the spoiler labeled such. A brief history of Unix and it's relation to OS X by Builder.

I freaking love my HTC One.

It's up to you if you like Sense or not. From what I've heard, it's pretty heavy on the battery (I use android revolution HD) The speakers are fantastic. Probably the best on any smartphone right now.

Camera is good as well. It's not a high megapixel camera, but it's very good quality.

Here's some photos taken with it

That was taken last week. I've done half of the design so far. I just need to paint the other half, sand the back and finish with a varnish layer and I'll be done

I think it is one of the better looking phones I have ever seen. Much sleek, many sexy.

I was going to get one, but got an S4, and in the process saved myself time and money. My battery died the other day and got another for $20.
But in saying that, every phone has its downsides, so to be fair I would still recommend it. Both phones for that matter.

Thank you for the replies! @ @Vitalius @ @Panda of the Shadow @wng_kingsley7 @Antistatic12 . In the post I mentioned that that I would be buying the m8 not the htc one. I basically wanted to know what your thoughts on the one were because the qualities most likely will transfer over to the m8. Thank you again!
