pfsense and pie hole on linux optiplex?

Title sums it up. I have an Optiplex 9010 with 60GB SSD, I'm looking to run Linux Mint on it and on top of that have PfSense and pie hole running. Is this possible? I'm having a really hard time with SSH, installation period and trying to figure out if this even works. I'm above average on computer skills but this is my first time working with networking aside from just plugging in basic routers and cables etc. Does anyone have any good suggestions/links/tutorials on how to set this up and configure it? I really appreciate any help i can get.
