AM4 bracket

Howdy,

 

I just ordered some parts online but come to notice the following,

 

ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING

AMD Ryzen 9 3900x

NZXT H510 Elite

NZXT Kraken X63 RGB

 

On NZXT's site it says:

 

AMD Socket AM4, TR4(bracket not included)
AMD Ryzen 7 / Ryzen 5 / Ryzen 3 / Ryzen 9 / Threadripper

 

Does anyone know if its only talking about the TR4 bracket not being included, or doesnt it include a AM4 bracket aswell?

They are talking about the TR4 bracket. From the manual:

Quote

 For SocketTR4, Install the AMD SocketTR4 retention bracket included inside the Threadripper CPU retail box.

Long story short, to make the life of AIO maker easier, AMD made it so all Asetek style CPU watercoolers (like those from NZXT) will fit on TR4 out of the box, because of the bracket they include with the CPU's.

 

The AM4 brackets is included in the package:

Pretty much the bracket for mounting threadrippers. (I bileve that goes underneath the board). With a 3900x  it won't affect you... so you can relax

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.
