hello !

Ubuntu/debian/kali user here !

If you want to name th best linux, give us a definition of "best", because each and every linux distros have been created for a precise purpose or given a domain where it should be the best...

If I would give one multipurpose, flexible, easy to understand and keeping the linux power.... i'd give debian a big win... not that i don't like the other linux distros, on the contrary, but... you find anything you want for debian...the web is full of everything on this one, it's an insanely stable OS, kernel compilation is easy etc... no wonder it's the base of Ubuntu, SteamOs and many more... oh and BTW, because LTT forum users love hardware, one more thing : DRIVERS ! I find them easier to install and update on debian.

But you know, it's only my opinion... in the linux world, the best thing is to try! take some time to try distros like arch, fedora and centos, you will find YOUR best ...

Ubuntu is based on debian, so yes it is linux

Right now Elementary OS is really immature and has many driver / hardware issues.

Your best bet is to use *buntu (Xubuntu, Lubuntu.. etc) or Linux Mint

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!
