I am having an issue. I am not exactly sure what it is

Those are my specs:

http://s14.postimg.org/m93a012y9/image.png

Notice the DRAM frequency is a bit low? It was at 800 Mhz, but I Reset it to 1600Mhz in my BIOS (Which is the advertised frequency) and I ended up with 860Mhz. Quite the increase right? Anyways my PC feels fast, but I keep getting weird errors. Sometimes Windows will have a pop-up kicking me out of my game telling me that performance is slow, and I recently just had the popup when I was using the (Intensive) task of Google Chrome lol. Anyways after a few seconds it automatically switched my colour scheme. I have also had issues where I would get these random Freezes and my screen would go green with a bunch of green lines, and I would just restart my PC, however that happens once in a blue moon. I am going to try updating my BIOS but I honestly don't trust that the update would go smoothly considering the problems I have encountered. Any suggestions?

800/860 is right, RAM shows as half of the actual speed, can't think of the name now, but I know for a fact 800 is right, someone will remind me. Perhaps its DDR- Dual data Rate- anyway 800 is correct .

EDIT- Sounds like you must a virus or something, those are great specs, no reason for those low performance prompts

hehehehe :MARK: I might just be :P

No I haven't ran a memtest yet.

Also when I get to the page to download the drivers from the MSI website it gives me two mirrors

http://www.msi.com/download/pages/download_detail/bios-22581.html

I click on the mirrors and they don't work, is anyone else having these problems? Also I will run the memtest

No virus, I run common sense 2012 edition lol. Anyways yes I looked very thoroughly for viruses, and nothing but the odd cookies popped up. My PC performance also seems to be really nice and fast, just don't know why these errors are popping up.

lol, could be a hardware issue then, have you overclocked your cpu or gpu? Either way , you could have faulty parts

I thought about that, I my system is not overclocked. I was thinking it might be the GPU. Should I stress test it? It usually happens during gaming, and the only replacements I have are a 6570, and a 210. I don't think a 210 can handle Triple A games very well lol

lol, no it can't . Yeah try 3D mark, or just play through a game a high settings, with a temperature monitor running in the background. Check the max temp after to see if it's overheating.

To stop those Performance notifications during or after gaming, rightclick the game shortcuts find properties, compatibility tab and disable desktop composition.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Incredibly annoying avatar.

DDR3 -> double data rate v3.

Go into the BIOS and enable XMP. If more than one profile, select #1. Leave everything else alone. See if the system stabalizes.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

This probably is not the answer to your problem, however I would recommend going into the power settings and set them to maximum performance.
