Good Evening

I am the proud owner of a new (to me) HP Omen 15 DC0088NR running a I7-8750H, x1 8GB of DDR4 at 2667mhz a 1050TI and a 256GB SSD. I am already looking to upgrade the RAM and have confirmed I have two slots total to play with. For the most part I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a specific company or stick(s) that I should buy, I am also looking to upgrade the SSD as well to at least a 1TB. The current thought is for me to go with Corsair and stay at 2666 or possibly go up to 3200 and then the SSD to be at least a Samsung 860 1tb, I just want to make sure im not going to spend my money on something that may not help the laptop perform better before I go out and do so. Any insight is appreciated.

ye probably go with corsair, have had many problems with gskill and crucial, never had problems with corsair, and as for ram speed, shouldnt matter, if u can pick up higher speed for not too much money, go for it, as for storage, you already have an ssd so upgrading wont help performance but sure if you need extra storage go for it, maybe a harddrive if u have an extra empty spot in your laptop, u need a 2.5inch drive for laptops tho

probably wont gain much, but you should probably not get the overpriced 860 evo and instead look at the mx500.

just a heads up. the sticker on  the product really doesnt matter, its the product itself. and when it comes to ram, there are 3 people who make memmory, and all of them are good.

ik, just pointing out my experience with certain brands, corsair tends to be the most popular, idk why, but there must be a reason right :)

could be due to their wide range of product and general presence in the youtube community.

doesnt mean everything they do is good tho.

Look at what memory you already have and try to buy one exactly the same. Regarding SSD any drive will work just buy the faster your budget allows.
