840 PRO is better, go for the Samsung 840 EVO though.

Be more specific. Intel has a large range of different ssds, some of which are better and some of which are worse.

I'd personally go for the Samsung EVO. Either way, they're both good (Intel and Samsung)

There's often very little difference between SSDs in terms of performance, and most differences are unique software and features. Whether those features are useful or not is up to you.

Technically speaking the pro is faster but, you can't really go wrong with either brands, unless it's an old intel ssd.

Both are ridiculously mainstream and very reliable from my standpoint

I don't really like comparing the reads and writes between the two because the best vs the best isnt the value and typical way I choose between two companies competing to get more shares and profit.

It would really depends on your budget, required capacity/volume of ssd space, warranty and probably how long the reliability is (other specs do come into play as well as features like free cloning software)

Just dont get intel and you're good to go.

They are using crappy sandforce controller, its slower and priced badly sometimes.

Samsung Evo is great, they could have hiked prices but I believe them to be very fairly priced. Especially in the larger drives, like 750GB and 1TB.

CORSAIR RIPPER: AMD 3970X - 3080TI & 2080TI - 64GB Ram - 2.5TB NVME SSD's - 35" G-Sync 120hz 1440P
MFB (Mining/Folding/Boinc): AMD 1600 - 3080 & 1080Ti - 16GB Ram - 240GB SSD
Dell OPTIPLEX:  Intel i5 6500 - 8GB Ram - 256GB SSD
