Hi guys,

Just ordered my new setup (budget but dont mind)

I ordered :

Ryzen 7 3700x
MSi B450 Tomahawk MAX
Corsair RM750x
Gskill Trident Z Neo 2 x 8GB 3600MHz CL16
WD 2TB HDD
Samsung 860 Evo 250GB SSD
Fractal Design Meshify C

Now i still need to buy a gpu, but i will buy a secondhand, cause i have an XL2411, without displayport, so the rtx serie and 5700xt are only DP's.

What i'm looking at at the moment are 3-4 cards.

But keep in mind please that i only play esport titles like (csgo, wow, fortnite, pubg & rocket league)

So i'm looking at getting 300fps+ on CSGO low settings, 200fps on wow on setting 4, fortnite 200fps low settings and the same for pubg)

But now i have 4 choices.

Choice 1 : Gigabyte Windforce OC GTX 1080 for 325€

Choice 2 : MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X 8GB for 130€

Choice 3 : MSI gaming X GTX 1070 : 200€

Choice 4 : MSI gaming x RX 570 : 100€

Choice 5 : Asus ROG Strix RX VEGA64 OC edition 8GB : 290€

Get an active adapter instead, GPU passthrough is more difficult.

I'd probably go with the 1070 if it was my money, makes the most sense given the goals you have. I will warn that PUBG is still not easy to run. I get like 90-150 fps (mostly medium settings) depending on the map and what seems like luck in a lot of cases. And that's on a 1080

Get an RTX and get DP to whatever you need adapters? That said, a 1070 is still a very viable option.

Aren't those adapters pretty expensive? (80€ , something like that?)

No...

If you are using just one display/monitor, you can just use something like a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable

(DisplayPort header on one end, HDMI on the other)....or something along those lines.

Those go for like 10€ ~ 15€.

Even an adapter is like 10€ ~ 30€.

Not 80€ ....

I would think so?

But also, my RTX 2080 has an HDMI out.... For VR. Most of those tier of cards do have at least a single HDMI simply for VR headsets. My rift is plugged into my 2080, lol.

Yes.

Your monitor supports 144Hz 1080p through the DVI-DL port.

I am assuming the HDMI port on your monitor is HDMI 1.1 / 1.2, so it cannot handle 144Hz 1080p

When you buy a Dispplay-port-to-DVI port, MAKE SURE it is to DVI-DL, and not just DVI-I or DVI-D.
