Closed network voip app (?) - can't find anything...

OK so I know the headline is pretty vague - I'll try my best to explain.

You know how in museums they hand out these sort of "radio receiving" devices that are set to a certain channel and the guide broadcasts on that channel so all the visitors in close proximity on that channel are able to receive and listen?

Is there an app for this use-case? Of course I know about apps like skype, whatsapp etc that you can basically have a conference call.

But like I said I'm looking for something where only one is the "broadcaster" and the rest are listeners.

Is there even a term for this type use-case?

Thanks a lot people :)

That's a hardware thing, not really software (that I am aware of)

EDIT

Look into "push to talk", that might lead you in some right directions

well the thing is that I don't necessarily look for something that is based on radio waves or radio channels.

Anything that conveys the purpose of "live audio tour" is fine with me.

.... What you want it to be based on? WiFi? One solution would be to have VOIP server, but connected devices would be rather bulky (smart phones). Using external servers work too, then you could develop own app.

Otherwise it will be hardware solution.
